1.一般现在时态
①用于不需要考虑谓语动作发生的时间，或不受时间限制的客观存在事实的描述。
例：The presence of lead in wine is mainly due to environmental pollution and to the material used in wine making.
②用于发生或存在于写论文之时的感觉、状态或关系等的描述。
例：The results of the chemical analysis are given in Table 1.
③用于致谢的表述。
④说明表注和图注的内容、数据、图形和符号用一般现在时。
例：饮食变量包括蛋白质、脂肪、碳水化合物、热卡、酒精和钙（男性）。
译文：Dietary variables are protein，fat， carbohydrate ，calories，alcohol，and calcium(in men).
例：数据以标准差(SD)表示。
译文：Data are presented as mean土Standard deviation(SD).
例：MI：心肌梗死
译文：MI indicates myocardial infarction .
2.一般过去时态
①用于写论文之前作者所做工作的描述。
例：Micro- analytical data were obtained in a Carba 1106 Analy-zer.
②用于有确定的过去时间状语的存在状态或发生动作的描述。
例：Thomson and Thomerson firstly determined in in wine using the hydrid a generation atomic absorption spectrophotometry (HG-AAS) technique in 1974.
③用于作者感觉是撰写论文前发生的动作或存在的状态。
例：In each of these cases the adsorbed amount reached an equi-librium value after different adsorption time.
④医学研究论文材料与方法部分及结果部分的时态基本相同，一般用过去时。
